Such a ‘balancing act’ I find it is (like a see-saw):

(God’s standard)——————-(God’s mercy)

(God’s love)

And that is what gives the motivation to continue, the overwhelming Grace of God’s Love. It underpins me no matter if I am leaning more on His mercy or striving more to live up to His standard(s).
