Sweet ladies, can you believe we are at the end of our study? My prayer that I shared with you last week is that this would not be the end, but just the beginning of seeking God’s transforming power as you walk daily with Him. I hope that you continually ask Him to transform your heart.
Like any other makeover, once you discover that you need to make some changes you have to continue to walk out those changes. When a woman gets a beauty makeover she will need to keep up the new haircut or makeup tips she was given. She will need to wear the new wardrobe. What if the family who receives the new home in “Ultimate Makeover- Home Edition” doesn’t actually live in it? We would think them foolish if they just drove by admiring their new house.
God has revealed much to my heart through this study, and it is up to me to choose to live it out! I don’t want backslide to the old me. I want to walk in this beautiful transformation as the woman God has created me to be. I could never do it on my own. When I try to live by Tracy’s strength I fall. I must lean on and depend upon the Holy Spirit. When I want to walk in my flesh or go back to my own ways, I must fall down upon my knees, crying out to Him!
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
“Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord.” Zechariah 4:6
I pray that you were able to find time to honestly come before Him, giving Him permission to stir up your heart and make beautiful changes. I pray that you continue to get real and honest before Him. I was so blessed by Debbie when she said in Week 3, “The Lord has been doing a major work in my heart as I honestly answer the questions each week.” Ladies, there is no hiding. God already knows our hearts. But He can’t do the transforming work until we are ready to be honest with Him and ourselves.
Walking in a relationship with the Lord is the most important thing in life. I love the first week when Chelsey shared that she wants more than a relationship with the Lord. It is so hard to find words to name what we want to experience with our precious Lord. I think the song “Breathe” says it best:
This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence living in me
This is my daily bread
this is my daily bread
Your very word spoken to me
And I, I’m desperate for you
And I, I’m I’m lost without you
Lord, I am lost without You. Your Presence is the very air I breathe. I love You, Lord.
Maybe this study has sparked a desire to go deeper with the Lord. Perhaps you have realized that you have been busy working for God, but you haven’t taken the time to fall in love with Him. How I encourage you to seek after Him with all of your heart. Keep crying out to Him that you want this relationship with Him. It is a prayer He longs for you to pray. He loves you so much, sweet sister.
If you were not able to join us each week, or if you were not able to complete a week’s study guide, I encourage you to continue this heart journey. Go back and see what God has for you. Simply click on the Bible Studies tab at the top of this page and you will see “Makeover of the Heart.” I would love to hear from all of you as you continue this Heart Makeover. Please visit my personal blog, Thirsty for Him. Finally, please join us one last time pondering the following questions:
What has God taught you through this study? What are distractions in your life that draw you away from time with God? What are a few practical applications God has revealed to you that you plan on implementing in your life?
Lord, let our meditations and our prayers be pleasing to You. Allow us to abandon ourselves to You and Your love. Please take away our inhibitions and doubt. Let us throw open our arms and embrace you. Let our hearts fall passionately in love with You. Let our souls rejoice in You, O God. Help us to trust You, to delight in You, to commit our ways to You, and to be still and patiently wait for You. Help us to be silent before You so that You may whisper to our hearts. Open Your Word to us so that we may understand it and You more. Give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know You better.
Father, I thank you for every woman joining us through this study. I praise You and thank You for each heart transformation. Help this woman let go of worldly pursuits and instead seek Your kingdom. Help her to “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let her run with perseverance the race marked out for her.” Help her to “not lean on her own understanding, but to trust in You, so that You may make her path straight.” Help her to “stand at the crossroads and look. Help her to ask for the ancient paths, the good ways, and walk in them, so she will find rest for her soul.” Remind her, “Above all else, to guard her heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
Lord, Your Word says, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Help her to put her hope in You, O God. I pray that she would walk in the fruit of the Spirit: love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I pray that God would “strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith.” I pray your heart will be encouraged and your faith strengthened. “And may my God meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus!” In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
As you can tell, I love music. This is my prayer for you. I continue to pray for all of you.

Hi honey!
I may have ‘dropped out’ of the study but you did not lose me. I am just a bit slower than most and God has to work harder
I think I am back in week 3. I have so much work to do. I wanted you to know that I loved the bible study. You were an excellent teacher and I will keep working at it in my heart even if I never blog it. I learned and I am still learning.
I am also going to follow you on your blog as I don’t think you are done with me yet LOL!
Love to you and yours!

I love that song! How perfect for the end of our study too.
My strength is in the Lord! I can AMEN to that.
I do feel this is just the beginning. I so agree with you Tracy about not backsliding. I will be linking up this week with my post.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
Tracy~ Thank you for this Bible study. I agree with you, we have to constantly guard against backsliding…. As our minister preached yesterday, “As Christians, rather than asking Why did this happen, we need to ask, Why not? ” When we do this, we are seeking out what the Lord really wants us to do, rather than wondering why things are happening to us.
I feel like I have just been refreshed to keep on keeping on…. I Know I need to constantly be in the Word and be encouraged by other believers…just like this online study did for all of us.
God Bless all of you, Ladies, as we continue to seek His will for each of us.
Sandy
I will be back tomorrow to write my entry!!
