Love. It’s what we should be known for, as Christ followers. But too often, it’s not. We tend to be known for what we’re against, what we disagree with, what we think is unacceptable. What we don’t love.
I want to change that in my own life. I want to be known for being a lavish lover of people. Easy to enjoy people. And unlovable people. I want to be a reliable source of chin-lifting, shoulder-offering, faithful-in-the-face-of-discomfort authentic love.
This is the love we’re called to give generously to each other. The ultimate, sacrificial love He offered us on the cross. No, it’s not easy. But it’s beautiful. And it’s life-changing. Which is why we will be known for this love.
His love.
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
John 13:34-35
