And His Name shall be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6b
As we reflect upon this marvelous season of the birth of Christ, may our eyes be opened wider to the fullness of our Lord and Savior’s amazing love for us.
His Name shall be called WONDERFUL.
Wonderful comes from the Hebrew word that means “miracle”. Do you need a miracle in your life right now, in your marriage, your finances, your children, your health? May we stand in awe and wonder at His goodness and His mercy toward us every day.
“Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!” Psalm 107:8
He is our COUNSELOR.
God has all the wisdom and direction that we need in order to fulfill His plans and purposes for us. Just ask Him.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
He is our MIGHTY GOD.
Nothing is too big or too small for God. He is our Mighty Warrior. He is on our side!
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
He is our EVERLASTING FATHER.
He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our loving Father that draws us to Himself. We can cry out Abba Father…which means “daddy”. He is our loving daddy.
“For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!””. Romans 8:15
He is our PRINCE OF PEACE.
The Prince of Peace brings peace and wholeness to our lives. We can find our peace in the arms of our Prince of Peace.
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
May you discover the fullness of Christ in this New Year. Every day should be a new day of wonder in His goodness!
