Growing a Beautiful Garden

“A man reaps what he sows.  The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers.” – Galatians 6:7-10

Lord, may I sow to reap life and not destruction.  May my harvest be bountiful and ever pleasing to You.  Remind me always to tend my spiritual garden, sowing to please You and not my sinful nature.  Help me to look to You and not to my flesh, continually doing good to others.

I am a wife to the most wonderful man in the world and mother of five amazing children. Life at our house can be loud and crazy, but, oh, so wonderful and full of love. My heart’s cry is to encourage women to seek a more intimate relationship with the Lord through prayer, reading His Word, and walking as free women in His glorious Light. My hope is that women are not satisfied with a life of mediocrity and defeat, but that they live abundant, transformed, and joy-filled lives. You can find me at my personal blog:Thirsty for Him

wow! I needed this today. I’m trying to teach my 12 year old math that she failed during the school year. How can she move on to 7th grade if she hasn’t mastered 6th grade? What a battle. I don’t want to give up, I want to teach her more than just the math. My attitude needs to be gentle toward her stubbornness. Thank you for reminding me.
