God’s Quiet Love

Life can be demanding. There is much to do and so many to care for. But, lately the Lord has been speaking to my heart ever so softly. Each time I quiet my mind and heart and wait for his leading, I get a lasting impression of two simple words, Be Still. As I begin a new year, my goal is to slow down, be still and feel the quieting love of my Savior.
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save, he will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Thank you for the encouragement! I hadn't heard that before, "He will rejoice over you with singing" – wow!

This is what God has been working with me on. I've been so distracted lately. Not listening to those around me and not listen to Him. I have been doing something different. It's called turning my computer off. It is hard, because it is my social outlet, but I cannot neglect my duties because of it. This means I will be posting less on my blog, but I know that my family will benefit from my focused attention.

I am going to try being "still" more. Thank you for this gentle reminder.

    God bless!

    Dear anonymous,

Have I ever heard God singing? If by that you mean have I heard him with my physical ears, the answer would have to be no. But, I HAVE "heard" God singing over me in my heart and my soul. I have "heard" his singing over me when I take time to focus on His blessings. I have "heard" God singing over me when I spend deep quality time with Him. I have "heard" God singing over me when I marvel in His awesomeness.
I pray that you will take time to "listen" for God's singing over you. He loves you more than you or I can fathom. And He does sing for you and over you because you are His.
