Getting to Know You and Starbucks!

Wow. Wasn’t that an incredible ten weeks with Jen Jernigan studying the names of God. What an incredible blessing Jen is to this ministry and how thankful that I am that she has allowed the Lord to use her in such a mighty way!

We will start a new study up here in a few weeks. In the meantime, we thought we would take a moment to once again get to know our readers here At The Well. Our membership has doubled in size over the last several months and we want to take some time out to find out a little bit more about everyone.

So… tell us about yourself. You can even share a picture or a video if you are that brave!  If you have a blog, leave a link on our Linky Tools below with a post that gives us a picture into who you are. It can be an older post that you’ve already written, or a brand new one! If you don’t have a blog, no worries, we still want to know who you are. Just leave us a comment below and give us the 411 on you!

And… to make it fun, we’ll have a random drawing for a $15 Starbucks card for every one who leaves either a link or a comment telling us about yourself. We’ll leave the Linky and Comments open until Friday at midnight and announce the winner next Monday.

Make sure you take some time to visit around and see who gathers with us… At The Well!

So… what are you waiting for… get going… we want to meet you! :)

I have just become a WAHM (work at home mom — is there any other kind, though?;)) and spend my time between chores, trying to find clients for my translation skills, cooking, cleaning, playing with my two lovely little boys, going on the school run. This blog has become part of my daily routine, and is a refreshing stop in the midst of some very weary days, as well as in the really good days! Thank you for your words and encouragement! Joaninha

I really enjoyed Jenifers bible study. There was a few weeks that I didn’t make it and had to go back and “make up” the lesson. Great stuff! Keep it comin’!

Hi! I’m Anna, a 29 year old still-single gal waiting on God. I was raised by a hard-core liberal feminist and it has taken a long time to overcome that upbringing and re-awaken the longings in my heart to value children and have a beautiful home. I also have a deep desire to be a stay at home wife and mom when that day comes.

I LOVE the archives on At The Well, they are an inspiration to me. I have so enjoyed getting to ‘know’ other women who have the same heart that is being born in me! I have a lot to learn but God will get me there! :-)

Hi, my name is Carol and I am the mother of six. My oldest is married and my next is on the mission field. I’m preparing to graduate the third from homeschooling next month. We have been homeschooling for 16 years and we attempt to homestead our modest acreage (that means grow our own food). I’m also a freelance writer. My blog, Everything Home with Carol, is to encourage and educate moms in their homeschooling, homesteading, walking with the Lord lifestyles.

My blog has some tried and true gf favorites (adding them every week!)as well as other posts that interest me: Bible passages, homeschooling, etc. I am learning to enjoy and love each moment that God gives me and I have REALLY been blessed by At the Well, so thank you so much! I work from home full-time, well, technically more than full time since I average 45 hrs/week. I am a paralegal & review documents on-line. I have 3 kids…ages 19, 17 & 5. My oldest son is in college & in the Army Reserves. My 17 year old is a junior in high school, he runs track & plays football. My 5 yr old daughter is my sidekick…she goes to preschool/daycare 3 days/wk & is home with me the rest of the time. I juggle my time between work, running the kids around, volunteering, running the household, etc….what mom doesn’t??? I love working with kids, I teach pre-k Sunday school every other month & love to volunteer at my daughter’s preschool. I am super busy & I am incredibly blessed! I love your blog!!!

Hello all! My name is Beth, I am mom to a beautiful 16 1/2 yr old daughter and wife to my wonderful blessing of a husband James. I have been a born-again believer for 25 years now and love to serve and comfort others…that’s probably why I went into nursing as a career! Finances will not allow me to be a SAHM, but would love to be able to do so eventually. We are Messianic Jewish by faith (Yes, we DO believe Jesus is the Messiah!) and enjoy many things! I hope to get to know you all better in the coming days and months! Shalom!

    Hi everyone,
What a fun idea. I am a telecommuting Momma – I work from home 3 days a week and go into the office twice a week. I am so blessed to have this opportunity. I have two little boys nearly 6 and 4 and am blessed to be married to an amazing man, we just celebrated our 8th anniversary. I start each morning at work with my In The Well emails and it is a great follow up to my morning time with Jesus.
Thank you all for all you do to keep this ministry sharing God’s truth!

The email you sent out telling about yourself was great. I feel I know you well already! I’m a 39 year old stay-at-home homeschooling mom with six children ranging from one to seventeen. We are a very busy family as my husband loves sports and our sons (five of them!) are very involved with them. It’s kind of hard for me as I would rather focus on other things and sometimes I feel frustrated at the lack of time I have, but I try to honor my husband and I try very hard to get excited as I was raised in a home where my father never ever watched a single sporting event and my brothers were never involved in sports either. Talk about culture shock when my husband and I got married! Anyway, I do want to say that the Lord definitely blesses submitting your will to your husband’s, as I have seen more benefits to sports that I can even say. I shiver when I think about how our boys would have turned out if I would have imposed my will on my husband. Since that is his forte, that is the platform he uses to teach them many life-lessons. Anyway, like everyone else, I’m here for encouragement and inspiration and a hope to be challenged to serve the Lord through my family and die to myself.

I just recently found At The Well and really like it! I am a former school teacher who now stays at home. I have four beautiful children-7 1/2, almost 6, 2 1/2 and six months. They are the joy of my life! My husband teaches 4th grade and we are the Children’s Ministry Leaders at our church. I am blessed to live in beautiful northwest Montana. I love coffee so it would be great to win a giftcard!

I’m a 30 something mom to 2 darling daughters, struggling in my marriage as my husband has left me, and I have recently learned he’s having an affair and lying to me. Praying daily for the Lord to keep me close to Him, and thankful for this blog of encouragement.

I am a 30 year old stay at home mom to three children, so far. I homeschool a kindergartener and first grader, and my little three year old, too! I say that because whenever we are out, we are bound to get the question, “where does the little guy attend preschool?” I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years. He is hands down the greatest husband in the world. He was rasied in a very liberal/feminist family and has totally allowed God to use it for good in our lives. We are more conservative then any families we personally know, so I find encouragement and strength in the blogs I read. I don’t have a blog, but I enjoy reading about other homeschooling Christian moms. At the Well always fit into something I am dealing with. By the way, I love Starbucks. My favorite is a Peppermint Mocha (blended or hot), with whip cream, of course!

Hi – I’m Kelly from Atlanta, well from CT but have been in Atlanta since 1997. I have a daughter who will be 22 on Saturday – not sure how that can be as it seems like just last week i was changing her diapers.

I participated in Jen’s Bible Study on the names of God and loved it!!!! I love the online studies as I fumble around on my own and the guidance and direction is really helping me in my studies. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to get more accomplished when I sit to study alone.

Thanks for your blog, I love it!

    Kelly
