Filled with His Glory

I love the Psalms.  They read a lot like our lives, if you’re honest about it. Moments of delight and loud exclamation of God’s astonishing goodness and mercy, and then those less joy-filled shout-outs, overflowing with despair and desperation.

And they’re a sure place to find just the right words to express our heart’s cry right where its at during any given season of life. So let’s choose to give thanks.  To tell of His goodness.  His extravagant grace.  His unending love. To dwell on the sweetness, mercy, faithfulness, goodness of our Abba.  Our precious Daddy.

“May his name endure forever;
may it continue as long as the sun.

Then all nations will be blessed through him,
and they will call him blessed.

Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel,
who alone does marvelous deeds.

Praise be to his glorious name forever;
may the whole earth be filled with his glory.”

Psalm 72:17-19

Let’s meditate on what we know of our Father’s heart even when what we face, circumstantially, may inspire us to feel otherwise. Faith speaks louder than feelings.
