Desi lives in the middle of the woods on the side of a mountain in rural Tennessee with her favorite people in the world. One of those people include her husband, Josh, who she’s been crazy in love with for eight years and lucky enough to be married to for the past seven. She and Josh went into their marriage planning to control when and how many children they were going to have, but after the pain of losing of their first baby because of a type of birth control; they decided God had better ideas and decided to leave it up to Him.
They were then amazingly blessed within a year with a daughter, and shortly after a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Praising God for what He’d given them and expecting their family was complete, they discovered they were pregnant with their second set of twins less than a year later, this time two more boys. The boys were delivered early by emergency c-section. On the twin’s original due date the next year, they delivered their fourth son, full term, naturally, and thankfully. Now they live with their six children, and three ornery cats, in the most beautiful country in the world!
Life wasn’t always idealistic though. Desi spent many unhappy years under the spell of witchcraft and satanic rituals. The lure for a lonely teenager being raised by just her working mother was so great, it lead Desi into a world steeped in lies, drugs, self-mutilation, eating disorders, and despair. God gave her mother the strength to move her completely out of the state they had lived their entire lives and away from evil influences and drag her kicking and screaming to church each and every time the doors opened.
Desi’s life was saved when she was 15 years old, not only by her mom and friends willing to look past her strange and unpleasant behavior, but by a Savior willing to forgive her past and give her a beautiful future with His love. She dedicated her life to living to God’s will, loving Him with all her heart, and showing the love He gave her, even in her darkest hour, to everyone she meets.
Now she happily lives a submitted life with her husband who owns a remodeling company while she home-schools her wonderful children and keeps involved with cheer-leading, soccer, football, and ballet and continuously plans out and works in her gardens. They are rigorously remodeling their (very small!) five bedroom home and saving for their own personal Eden, a large debt free farm in this same area. She is studying to become a midwife in the hopes of opening a natural birthing center much closer to home and helping women see pregnancy and labor as an act of love..
