Welcome to the new home of “At the Well”! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am of the work that the Father is already doing in and through this ministry… and that YOU are a part of this!
Some of you have been with us from the beginning since we began with the Monday Meme six months ago. Some of you are joining us for the very first time. Today, however, all of us begin a new journey here At the Well.
“But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2: 1-5
My prayer is that this will be…
a place to talk, laugh, maybe cry a little,
a place of comfort,
a place to share,
a place to listen,
a place to glean wisdom
from those that have been-there-done that,
a place to share wisdom
that God has whispered (or shouted) in your ear
a place to exchange ideas and lessons learned
a place to pour out your heart and maybe even heal a broken one.
a place to feed your soul and nourish your spirit.
a place to drink in His living water.
So.. grab your cup of coffee and join me… you might want to carve out just a little extra time for our first gathering today… we have lots to cover.
For starters, let me say that the Father has put together an INCREDIBLE team of writers. Each of these ladies love Jesus and have a heart and passion for living out Titus 2. Our team of writers are all at different stages in their lives and in their walk with the Father… they are women just like you! Take some time to get to know these ladies, I promise you’ll be blessed!
The goal for At the Well will be to bring you more than just “daily devotionals”. Some days will be days for devotions, others will be more practical tips, some will be incredible teaching and study on Titus 2 related topics, and some days will be beautiful scriptures and thoughts in picture for you to meditate on.
At the Well will publish anywhere from three to five days a week. Monday and Friday’s will be definite publish days and Tuesday’s through Thursday’s will be alternating. As the Lord leads, we will publish more. Topics will be published on specific days. Our typical schedule for At the Well will look something like this:
Please use the graphic and code below to link your posts back to At The Well:
Also, when you link your blog, make sure you are linking your actual post and not just your blog address. This way, when people click on the link, they are taken to that days post. Oftentimes, we have folks that will join in late and will want to participate. This makes it easier to find the post that correlates with the particular days topic rather than have to search around your blog to find it!
Tuesdays

Reflections on the home will be centered around anything and everything to do with homemaking. This will include recipes, kitchen organization, meal planning, home organization, devotions and study centered around the kitchen or home.
Wednesdays

Wednesday’s articles will include anything and everything to do with children and raising them and motherhood. It might be an uplifting devotional to moms, practical advice from someone who has been there, stories that others would be uplifted by etc.
Thursday

This category will cover marriage and Biblical Submission. Everything from devotions, biblical teaching and stories, to practical advice and help.
Fridays

Friday’s will be a day of reflection and meditation to take you into the weekend. We have some wonderful artists that will be sharing their talents with Scripture in pictures followed by some thoughts of meditation.

For today’s gathering, we are going to kick start with some general discussion of Titus 2 and what that means in your own life.
When you read the Scripture found in Titus 2: 2-5, how do you see this playing out in your own life?
What are your areas of strength? Of weakness?
If you could set some sort of goal in relation to this Scripture, what would it be?
Join in the discussion today and leave your link below.
(Don’t forget that by participating today, you can earn one entry into our door prize giveaways, just make sure to go back to the contest post HERE and leave a comment letting me know you participated today! The Contest will close at 5pm today and winners will be announced shortly thereafter!)

I am so excited to find this blog! I have three children under four and one on the way! I need all the help I can get
As a single woman, this blog is an amazing wealth of information and encouragement.
Thank you for this ministry.

I am so happy that you are providing such a wonderful blog. I am really looking forward to reading and also for participating.
I’m looking forward to being a part of this! I pray that I can be an encouragement to others like I know others will be to me.
It’s great to be back, Chelsey! Great job!
I just wanted to stop in and say congratulations for being one of the Internet Cafe’s Top 100 Christian Women’s Blogs of 2008! Your blog truly does bless!
Hi Chelsey!
Thanks for offering this ministry. Answering the questions made me convict myself, awesome job.
smooches,
Larie
What I like so much about this is the fact that being older is a good thing! Not a thing to be feared.
In a time when plastic surgery is rampant, trying to erase the signs of aging I love the wisdom that Titus teaches us.
That with age comes precious wisdom.
Something we should cherish.
I think this will be a fun and encouraging place!
I read about it at Large Family Mothering!
I’m so excited about this! May the Lord bless and strengthen and inspire every one of you as you will be blessing us!
Great post, Chelsey, and I am glad that The Well is back! I have done my post so that was my fourth and final thing to do for the drawing.
Thank you everyone. We here, At the Well, are excited to be back up and running too. More than that we are excited about what the Lord is doing with At the Well. He has been faithful to have His hands on us! Looking forward to seeing every back here again soon!
I can’t wait to join in! It is my goal this year to seek out Titus 2 women, both online and in “real life”. A lot of older godly women don’t know they are wanted–the younger generations have been very successful of labeling them “irrelevent”. I am looking forward to this for me, but I also hope it will be an encouragement for Titus 2 older women to get involved in the lives of women around them.
Well sisters, I finally got here! Better late than never! ?
Sweet sister Chelsey, thank you so much for your faithful work in the Lord.
I love and appreciate the questions you started us off with today! It gave me a wonderful opportunity to recount how good God has been to me! Thank you sister!
May our God’s name be honored, glorified and exalted as His daughters exhort one another to live as Christ and not as ourselves.
Bless you dear one,
Sunny
Chelsea,
What a great turnout! Thanks so much for putting this all together so we can reach out to one another and learn from each other.
I was having trouble commenting on your At The Well post. What a great post! I sometimes struggle with the same thing as you. Then I have to get ahold of the person I was talking to and ask for forgiveness.
What a blessing to follow! Thank you!
This is a great concept… So happy to have found your blog. Looking forward to all that is in store…
I am so excited about this blog and I look forward to spending time At The Well throughout the week with each of the topics you will be discussing. Thank you for all of the time and work that has been put into this!
Thank you for starting this site! I hope to join in more of the writing, but I am more in the learning, I guess! I am glad I have found some older women that I can learn from!
God bless you all!
In Christ,
Hannah
What a blessing. I crave to interact with woman that have the heart to follow Titus 2 and live the life of a godly woman.
