Our God is Big!

The mountains quaked before the LORD...
Judges 5:5

Can you imagine that? The mountains quaking? I had the joy of traveling through British Columbia last week. We saw these signs every few miles, and it was kind of scary to know that these huge rocks surrounding us weren't stable...but yet we think we can just waltz through and make roads and highways and other things in the middle of them.

I don't know how anyone can look at those glorious, amazing mountains and not acknowledge how small we are and there has to be something more to life than this.

So, question:

How big is your God?

Mine is big enough to make the mountains quake! :)

God Bless!

My God is so big..so strong and so mighty...there's nothing my God cannot do...The mountains are His, the rivers are His, the skies are His handiwork too. My God is so big..so strong and so mighty...there's nothing My God cannot do!!

There is a dear Sister of mine who would "challenge" my faith whenever I doubted something I was praying about by saying, "You see, that proves that you serve a god with a little 'g.' I serve G-O-D with a big capital 'G!'

Amy, This is so timely! I was having a difficult evening two nights ago. So I hopped in the car and drove about 10 minutes to the foot of mountains surrounding our valley. I thought if I could just focus on how big God was, it would put my situation in perspective. You said it so well!

El Elyown is God Most High. He is exalted, omnipotent, supreme, constant, reliable. The Most High God reaches far beyond those incredibly beautiful Rocky Mountains. But He created them for our eyes to see and know Him by their beauty, their majesty, their magnitude. I thank Him for His creations, for me, for being the constancy in my life.
